I don't understand this book. I have boys at home, so I think I see the concept. It just didn't come through. I also do not like to subscribe to gender stereotypes. Girls can have exciting, energetic, imaginative play, too, you know! ...more

My 4-year-old thought this book was really silly.

Excerpt from the book:
"If waffles were like boys . . .
breakfast would be a BATTLEFIELD!"

Celebrates the awesomeness of boys with some creative comparisons and imaginative illustrations. My fave pictures? I can narrow it down to three. 1. pirate socks on a ship 2. cowboy hot dogs at a condiments rodeo 3. superhero pillows ...more

If waffles were like boys breakfast would be a battlefield. Cherise takes everyday objects like toothbrushes, peas, shopping carts and reimagines what they might be if they were actually little boys. Cute for preschool and toddler. ...more
