I love the idea of alternate universes, and using it as an idea in a political thriller sounded fun. A president who gets more aggressive with the Russians, knowing he can escape to another universe? I hated the characters in this novel. Not only were they poorly written, but the were emotionless and their acts and motivations made me despise them.
