The Months: Fun With Friends All Year 'Round (Read Me a Poem)

(ages 4 - 6)  This cheerful picture book, featuring a classic poem by Sara Coleridge, teaches the months of the year with rhyming verse and illustrations of children taking part in their favorite seasonal activities. From January's snow to December's treat, children will delight in traveling through the year, celebrating special times with friends. Readers can search for symbols of the season hidden in each month's scene.

I know it often seems I like all the books I review but truth be told there are at least ten children's books I hate for everyone I like. Each pages covers a different month, but some of the months are kind of odd connections for children. Example: "Fresh October brings the pheasant, Then to gather nuts is pleasant." The wording is a little clumsy. ...more
