2011
Chorus Boosters Scholarship

Purpose:

The scholarship purpose is to recognize the recipient’s contribution to the Midlothian High School
Choral Department. Further studies in music are not a requirement.

Scholarship Evaluation:
The scholarship is an award of the Chorus Boosters. The scholarship selection committee will be
comprised of members of Chorus Boosters and/or parents of former chorus members. Parents of applicants
are ineligible to serve on the selection committee. The chorus department staff may comment on
applicants, but has no voting privileges. In all cases, the decision of the committee is final.

The annual amount of the award and number of awards may differ based on the funds raised each
year generated by the Night of Stars fundraiser. The monetary amount and number of scholarships will be
at the sole discretion of the scholarship committee. No scholarship under $250 will be awarded.

In the event that the original winner doesn’t attend college, the moneys will be returned to the
Chorus Boosters and subsequently awarded to the “runner-up”. The winner will agree to these stipulations
by signing a statement upon receipt of check made out to the attending college.
