Threat Management

This session is designed to help employees recognise the signals of a upcoming threat from an
engaged client or cusotmer and to be armed to provide a response.

We wil provide a new set of tools to cope with threats to help disarm or diffuse the situation
more effectively. If the situation cannot be reduced then we also discuss the actions required
to cope with the threat.

Categorising Levels of Threat Behaviour
This section we explain how important internal talk is, How it creates our responses and controls
our outcomes. We il ustrate how to control programming to increase performance and improve
We can demonstrate the three different types of behaviour and help employees recognise
aggressive behaviour by reading body language signals.
Communication Techniques
We are able to provide employees with communication tools to assist in disarming threatening
behaviour. Negotiation, Influential skil s, Learning Styles and other techniques to communicate
on the level of the harasser wil be discussed.
Psychological Tools
We discuss how to handle the most difficult threats with a range of psychological tools such as:
Questioning techniques to disarm
Changing Emotion. Experience + meaning = Feeling. Change the meaning to someone
and the feeling wil also change.
Body Language Techniques for proximity, mirroring and Visual Accessing signals.
Responding To Threats
We would provide further information on what action to take with threats when the level of
threat has met the criteria. Employees wil be able to recognise when to ignore threats,
respond with confidence, and mediate the threat or to cal the police for further assistance.
