Mahindra XUV 500 Automatic version launch on the cards
Mahindra & Mahindra, which has been a strong player in Indian automobile market launch of
various segment vehicles, is now planning to offer an automatic transmission system version
in its popular premium SUV, the Mahindra XUV 500. Currently, Mahindra XUV 500 automatic
gearbox version is in the making and will soon get official launch. After getting this
automatic transmission system XUV 500 is speculated to break the market share of some of
luxury brands too.

Whereas, Mahindra XUV 500 price this automatic transmission version will be more than
current available variants such as W6, W8 and W8 4wd. All these variants are available
between Rs. 11.10 lakh to Rs. 13.43 lakh at ex-showroom Delhi. But, automatic version of the
vehicle may go for above Rs. 14 lakh at ex-showroom.
The new Mahindra XUV 500 features for automatic transmission system version are
expected same as the W8wd version because, the company might offer this AT features in
high-end variant only. Along with automatic version, Mahindra has also plans launch low cost
variant of the XUV 500 which would fall under the price tag of W6 variant.

It seems that automatic gearbox version of the Mahindra XUV 500 will first be offered to the
other international markets, likes of Australia, South America and Europe. After getting good
success in India with XUV 500, the company is planning to launch this vehicle in various
countries.

Packed with a powerful and fuel economical 2.2L, 2179 cc mHawk 140 VGT engine Mahindra
XUV 500 offers tremendous power of about 140 bhp and a peak torque of about 330 Nm.
Beside this, Mahindra XUV 500 mileage is too impressive in the segment. And, the beast is
giving tough competition to Skoda Yeti, Tata Aria, Toyota Innova and Ford Endeavour. But,
after getting AT version the XUV 500 is expected to lead the segment.

Mahindra XUV 500 is the all muscular SUV with great performance, Mahindra and Mahindra
witnessed an increase of 44 percent in the net profit for the fiscal year 2011-12. Recently the
AGM of this Indian car maker Mr. Pawan Goenka revealed to the media, the company's plans
of launching six brand new models and also its expectation of a growth of around 10 to 12
percent in the average sales for the FY 2012-13.
Some of the other popular cars of this segment are Maruti Swift, Maruti Ritz, Nissan
Micra, Chevrolet Beat, Volkswagen Polo, Maruti Wagon R and upcoming Toyota Etios Liva
and Honda Brio.
